Tommy Chong and Peta kicked off the night with a quickstep to Frank Sinatra’s classic “That Old Black Magic.” In the package we saw that Tommy struggled throughout rehearsal week, having trouble keeping up and battling the old bones in his knees. He surprised us though when he took the stage, remembering all of the fast-paced fancy footwork and nailing it when he was in hold. He did get lost whenever Peta let him go but all in all I thought it was one of his better dances. I mean sure, it kind of fell apart at the end, but it was still an improvement. Len called him easy on the eyes and said he was very watchable and Carrie Ann agreed with me that it was one of his best so far. The duo got sevens across the board.
